Siemens Competition Scholarship Awards 2016
The Siemens Foundation established the Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology in 1999. The Competition is the nation’s premier science research competition for high school students and seeks to promote excellence by encouraging students to undertake individual or team research projects. It fosters intensive research that improves students' understanding of the value of scientific study and informs their consideration of future careers in these disciplines. College scholarships 2016 are awarded to all students who are selected to attend and compete in the regional and national events.
Scholarship award money is sent directly to the accredited college or university the winning students select. In order to continue receiving the scholarship, students must be enrolled full-time and making good academic progress toward a degree.
-Individual : $1.000
-Team : $1,000 each team member
-Individual : $3.000
-Team : $6,000 divided equally among team members
The winners of the individual and team regional awards advance to compete at the national level. The national winners are announced at a special event hosted by the Siemens Foundation in Washington, D.C.
Your scholarship can be used for:
- Tuition and fees required for enrollment.
- Fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for any courses of instruction at the school that are required for graduation.
- On-campus room and board.
Students should be prepared to participate in all aspects of the Competition. This includes being available to attend regional and national levels of the Competition if you are selected as a finalist.
